Business trip to Netherlands for dealer support

Participants on the trip to Netherlands were Dealer Support, Supply Chain and Dealer Development team members. The main reason for this visit was to introduce our newcomers to the VDV EUCUP team, discuss new topics and exchange information. It is very important to meet the people we talk to on a daily basis via email or phone. Putting a face to a name and understanding each others’ environments is helpful in working more efficiently together.

The trip began with a visit to the VDV office, workshop and warehouse in Groot-Ammers. This gave us a look at what operations will be like in Doosan in the next year or two. Meeting an European dealer outside the UK was also a great experience. The next day, the Doosan team visited Dutch dealer, STAAD, in Veghel near Eindhoven. STAAD presented its marketing strategy, company achievements and future goals.

I would like to highlight some of the experiences we took from this trip. First of all, showing us workshops and the way machines are prepared for shipping was interesting.

The second major impact arose from the STAAD presentation - their marketing strategies and overall workforce, their approach to customers and culture is an example of what all our dealers should strive to achieve. To cap it all, we received very nice and memorable presents from the STAAD team.
